Anveshan's origins lie in founder Aneeta Pathak's quest for alternative education. Questioning the effectiveness of traditional schooling in creating positive social change, she concluded that real-life experiences are the most impactful teachers.

Inspired by her own travels and interactions with diverse communities, Aneeta sought to bring experiential learning to children. She saw this as a solution to the limitations of India's conventional education system, which often leads to rote learning and boredom.

In 2012, Aneeta conceived the Ganga Yatra program, inspired by the river's diverse facets. The devastating Uttarakhand floods of 2013 further highlighted the Ganges' importance. In 2016, Aneeta led her first student group on the Ganga Yatra, marking Anveshan's beginning.

After the first Ganga Yatra, Aneeta was touched by the strong impact of the journey on her students who returned rejuvenated, filled with inspiration and deeply moved by their experiences. She was now convinced of the power of her idea and began to explore and design different journeys of life. These are the journeys that constitute Anveshan.
We create unique journeys
which aim to transform its

Priti

Priti is from Auroville, a place for inner growth which she calls home. She is always curious to try new things: she pursued her education in textile and graphic design, worked as a caretaker for elderly people, and for the past 15 years, has been an educator and facilitator in an Auroville school. For Priti, teaching young children is about learning together. She likes to take adventurous and experimental approaches with her students, helping them to think and act beyond their own limits. Priti helps children explore these limits through the free progress pedagogy, based on Sri Aurobindo's and The Mother's guidance on integral education. As she continues to take on new journeys, she always looks forward to connecting and working with new children.
